For further reading, try Cary Millsap’s book – especially chapter 9.
When the eight year olds tell me how to get to the train on time without having control over the intervening traffic, I’ll be impressed.

Different problem – that one’s a variation of the Prisoner’s Dilemma (or Prisoners’ Dilemma, as I prefer to call it).
