Question Time

Filed under: Oracle — Jonathan Lewis @ 10:44 am BST Jul 6,2018

It’s that time of year again – the UKOUG Tech conference is approaching and I’m organising a panel session on the Cost Based Optimizer.

As usual I’ll be asking Christian Antognini, Nigel Bayliss, Maria Colgan and a special guest panellist (maybe David Dimbleby will be able to find the time now that he’s retired from chairing his own panel); and Neil Chandler and Martin Widlake will be volunteering to take on their inimitable roles as MCs.

If you’ve got any questions you’d like to put to the panel you will be able to write them down on the day, but it would be nice to have a few supplied in advance in the comments below.  Tactical, strategic, technical, or just plain curious – this is a panel that can tell you what can be done, what shouldn’t be done, and how to do the things you shouldn’t do but sometimes have to do.

Even if it’s a question where you already know the answer, if you think it’s intersting put it to the panel to hear what they have to say.

If you prefer to email your questions then click this link.

Since a tweet would be a nicely sized question you could reply to my tweeted call for questions to submit one.
